There’s gold in those green hills. Pernick and Wilder, co-founder and contributing editor at clean-tech research and publishing firm Clean Edge, examine what’s happening at the intersection of environmental technology and big business. Their conclusion: “Throughout the world, in trends large and small, we’re seeing the beginning of a revolution that is changing the places where we live and work, the products we manufacture and purchase, and the development plans of cities, regional governments and nations around the globe.” The authors examine eight top clean technologies, providing both financial information for investors as well as how-to advice for local and regional governments that might be looking to develop the next Silicon Valley. The only challenge with this book is the rate of change in the clean-tech field; one suspects avid clean tech enthusiasts will require updates more frequently than book publishers can accommodate. But that’s probably a good thing.
